One of the main ingredients for this blend is Umeboshi that are made from Japanese pickled plums. The fruit is salted, fermented and aged with red shiso leaves, giving it a vibrant color and a bold, tangy-salty flavor.
Because our ume powder is made from real umeboshi, a little goes a long way—just a small pinch adds bright intense flavor to your dishes.

Because our ume powder is made from real umeboshi with an intense sour-salty flavor, we recommend starting with a small amount and adjusting to taste.
